I personally, do NOT trust anything coming from a gov't or corporate source so take the above story into account accordingly. Flock and Ring could be still merging and NOT disclose it publicly.
You'll notice in the Shasta Co. Sheriff policy section (b), where neither reasonable suspicion nor probable cause is required to use the ALPR system!
This is a portion of Redding (CA) police dept. ALPR search history. This document is required to be maintained by law. From 1/1/25 to 9/1/25, RPD had 24,730 search entries and returns. Notice the column for "case#/LE report#" is blank. These are the unconstitutional "searches" that occur without warrants which is a requirement of the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution.

Flock has now expanded its surveillance capabilities using sound monitoring. Allegedly these can also record human voices.
